Reject--Part 2Charlie drove me to Lesley's house today to work on the movie for French class. I had promised Amy and Lesley that I would get Charlie's digital video camera and then have him help me edit it later. Of course I promised them the day before he dumped me. I couldn't let them down...and so Charlie picked me up. I gave him back all his things from my house and a few new letters to add. He stopped at the end of my street. My heart rose for a moment when he looked defeated after I touched his shoulder. But I was wrong. He taught me how to work the camera. Reject--Part 1I worked at the fair today. Not the big, dirty county fairs I like so much...but the "Fun Fair" at my sister's school. I was half-dreading, half-eager to see Charlie. No such luck. I walked into the lobby and saw a stand selling gobs of Hawthorne merchandise. Shirts, sweatshirts, hats, visors, you name it, they had it. Chloe and Paulina were sitting at the ticket table, ripping off rows of tickets as little kids swarmed around the table. All the adrenaline whooshed out of my body as I stood by Chloe. "Psst....how do I figure out where I go to?" Chloe pointed at a list on the far end of the table. I found my name at the bottoReject--Part 1
